Mountain Community Online School is a North Carolina public charter school serving students in grades 4–8 across the state.

Registration Steps

Complete the online application to apply for enrollment at Mountain Community Online School.

Applications are accepted during the open enrollment period.

If the number of applications exceeds available seats, MCOS will conduct a random lottery in accordance with North Carolina charter school law.

Families will be notified of lottery results by the published deadline.

Families offered a seat must confirm acceptance within the required timeframe.

Failure to confirm may result in the seat being offered to another student.

Once a seat is accepted, families complete enrollment by submitting required documentation and participating in onboarding.

This step ensures students are fully registered and prepared for the start of school.
